December 2008 Christmas Review
“The Tale of the Comet” has now been published and has appeared on Amazon.com. I received the first proofs in December and it is a big book. 754 pages. It isn't until you hold it in your hand that you realise what an enterprise it is. I could have split it, it is divided into two parts as it is, but I just didn't have the heart to do it. It looks good. I like the cover, the images for which have gone through several versions until I finally decided on the final one. It can be a bit dark with the black cover, but I like it like that. I think I have got Chen-Soo about right too. There are times when her face can look quite young and girly, while at other times when she lowers her head and looks up at you from under her lashes she can be quite striking and much more grown up! And I like the Mosst-Gooey appearing instead of my logo on the back cover. He does also appear on Mia's blue coverall, but you can't quite make him out in the crush! I have attached a low resolution version of the cover below for your pleasure. Let me know what you think. And please take the opportunity to read it if you can. The version on the website is not as up to date as the one that is now published, but the basic story is the same. Having said that, the published version is better (well I think so!).
I haven't been able to do any of the site modifications I talked about last month. Hopefully I will get around to doing some of them over Christmas.
And while talking about Christmas, may I take the opportunity of wishing you all out there a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year.
See you next month in 2009.
