December 2005 Christmas Review
Writing Progress
PublishAmerica do have a fast track system, so “The
Friendly Ambassador: A Gathering of Angels” could be published by February. It's quite strange and unfamiliar to be talking
about the publication of my second book under Writing Progress, but I suppose it is progress. I always hoped to get a book
published, but having done so once, and now being on the point of doing so a second time, it doesn't feel that exciting. I
think each stage has the same problems. You always wish that you could write a book. Then when you do manage to write it
you then spend all your time wishing that you could get it published. And if you do manage to get it published you then end up
wishing that it would be a success. It seems there is no end to ambition or to adversity.
Having said all that, it is still nice to know that my story will be out
there. While I know that this website reaches a lot of readers, and that some of you may read the free stories without buying
access to the pay chapters of others, while others do buy, I feel that having a story published as a book sets it in stone as
it were. The story is done and complete and its registered and has it's own ISBN. On this website that can't actually be said.
Its only my own personal website after all. I like being able to find my first book “The Friendly Ambassador: The Beginning
of the End” on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. It would also be nice to see it on bookshelves, but maybe that is just the next
hurdle. So after the second part is published I will start thinking about the last two parts. And then it will be on to my
other stories.
As I mentioned last month, I have been doing a lot of images for the
book covers, and in my enthusiasm I have managed to do nearly all four sets of covers for “The Friendly Ambassador.” Its a
lot of fun, especially with my five-year-old going on six-year-old laptop. So, as promised, all four front cover images are
shown below.

I hope you like the images. I will add larger versions to my other
website, thefriendlyambassador.com, so pop over and take
a look and let me know what you think.
Well, it will be Christmas soon. I will be having some time off from
University and I may even find the time to write something new. I will let you know in January. In the meantime I hope you
all have a good Christmas and that 2006 is a good year.
See you.
